I am Paul Elliott, and I play and write table-top roleplaying games. Most of these are free downloadable games, but both Atomic Horror and Against the Reich were published by an independent game company. I've also had a number of articles published over the years in gaming magazines.

GRUNT - Vietnam Roleplaying

Terror. Sheer blind terror sublimated and spat back out of the barrel of an M16. The fear and isolation. The desperation to get out alive - just to get out and get home. A green hell populated by a people who despise you and want to kill you. Or maim you. Or send you mad. This is the Vietnam War. This is GRUNT.

GRUNT attempts to be historically realistic, claustrophobic and packed with a great deal of nervous tension. GRUNT uses six-sided dice. Players take on the role of members of an infantry squad, part of the famous 1st Cavalry Division, their missions are frought with danger: snipers, booby traps, jungle ambushes, rocket-propelled grenades, friendly-fire ... and stress. Always stress, building up to unbearable levels.

GURPS ATOMIC HORROR

Picture
The RPG of classic 1950s horror featuring flying saucers, radioactive ants and everything in-between! A well-loved worldbook for Steve Jackson's popular RPG GURPS.

“I've never seen the first edition of this book, but if it contains half the information the second has it would be a great buy as well. The updated version is one of the best GURPS sourcebooks on the market, bursting with material that just about any roleplayer could use. Atomic Horror's stated goal is to recreate the era of the B-movies - the campy horror/sci-fi of the 50's and its mutant progeny, including modern films like Mars Attacks ... Not only is Atomic Horror a faithful homage to those films, it's a historical sourcebook as detailed as the best GURPS has to offer.”

AGAINST THE REICH

Picture
A supplement for Jared Sorensen's Octane RPG. A pulp game pitting the 1930s heroes against the Nazi menace, lizard-men, Raiders of the Lost Ark-style traps and an entire Hollow Earth!
Don't let the Nazi stormtroopers and the evil scientists win! Uses the 'playset' approach to campaign building. Requires Octane to play.

"[Against the Reich! is]...a must read product, even if just for the adventure concepts inherent in the setting."
